Who is your Super Hero?

We all know that individuals with Cri du Chat Syndrome are Super Heroes!! They may not jump tall buildings, fly as fast at the speed of light or bend steel, but they are strong, determined, stubborn, loving and work harder than anyone to reach their highest potential.  All accomplishments regardless of how big or small are to be celebrated!! But you know who else is a Super Hero?  Moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, therapists, doctors and friends who give unconditional love and support also deserve the title of Super Hero.   In 2014 we celebrate and honor all the Super Heroes in our children's lives.

Who is your Super Hero?

Throughout the year, we would love for you to submit pictures of your Super Hero, with or without a mask!!  We hope to get enough pictures to showcase them during the 2014 conference!!

And, if you are coming to the conference, don't forget your Super Hero costume for the banquet on Saturday night!!

Mark your calendars for the 5p- Society’s annual conference and networking event.  The San Antonio conference committee is excited to host and plan the 2014 Annual Conference.

The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio on the River Walk.  The room rate will be $155.00 per night.  Reservations can be made by calling (800) 421-1442.  To receive the discounted rate, please tell the reservationist that you are with the 5p- Society.  If you have any problems making your reservation, please contact Laura at the 5p- Society office.  To guarantee your room at the Grand Hyatt, please have your reservation made by July 3, 2014.  There are no guarantees if you make your reservation after the July 3^rd cut-off.  The group rate will be honored 3 days prior and 3 days after the event for those of you who would like to vacation.

The 5p- Society will be taking over Morgan’s Wonderland on Friday afternoon for the Family Fun Event.  Morgan’s Wonderland is the world’s first ultra-accessible theme park and a place where “kids” of all ages and abilities can have fun.  Individuals with a physical or cognitive challenge are admitted free of charge.  The group rates will be $8.00 per person.  Visit www.morganswonderland.com for more information.
